Our Origin Story

We started out producing set and prop pieces for the live events industry with our sister company Upset. Upset is one of the leading live event set manufactures in the UK, working with some of the worlds biggest artists and bands, creating set for arena tours and stadium events all over the world. As a result of a nation wide halt to events, during the pandemic, we decided to take our skill set and serve a different industry and with this change "for retail" was created.

What Sets us apart?

Tight lead times

Tight lead times - we have produced entire arena shows in under 24 hours, and 40' wide props that hang from the arena roof, in under a week. So when we started working with customers in the retail industry we couldn't believe the amount of times our new clients had been let down by delays in fitting and the amount of time they have had to remain closed to the public. We understand the devastating effects this can have on a business and when we say we can hit your deadline, we will.

Working to your budget

Over the years we have worked with so many different levels of production with so much variation in budget. We know we can make a particular design happen no matter what the budget, and we have the skill set to tell our clients the options they have, and produce detailed proposals to highlight the differences and the pros and cons for every finish.

Pre Site manufacture

Pre Site manufacturing - events often leave us with only a matter of hours when it comes to the on-site install, so for us its all about the prep. Once we get a concept from our clients we send back a detailed drawing with technical dimensions and rendered views. When approved we can do the majority of the work in house, so when we turn up to your venue it"s a very quick and painless experience while we install. This also means a huge saving in labour costs for our clients with the onsite workforce being reduced.

Often when working on site in the events industry the faster we can achieve our goal the better. We usually have a very tight deadline of having to open doors to the public in a matter of hours. Through this enormous amount of pressure we have developed a very efficient way of working. When we arrive at the site we are straight into unloading the products and begin installing without hesitation. Our goal is to achieve the finished product, for our client, as fast as we can, therefore, if any issues do arise we still have time to solve them before we need to hand over. We pay all our crew by the day and not by the hour, this generally helps to keep costs to our clients manageable and crew are more likely to finish the job that day.

Our Process

DRAWING

For us drawing is as important as the manufacturing itself, it gives us chance to show our clients exactly what they will be getting before a single penny has been spent. In this stage we find that most clients want to adapt their vision, adding extra storage spaces or lights in certain areas, maybe changing the paint finish or adding extra components. It becomes a lot easier and more cost effective when you can see exactly what you will get before the project gets underway. It also means we can spot potential pit falls before they happen.

MANUFACTURE

Once our designs has been approved we can start the manufacturing process. We have a variety of tools and equipment at our disposal. So whether the job requires welding, CNC cutting, laser cutting, powder coating, sewing, printing, or soldering, we have the right tools and technicians to get the job done. We make sure our clients get photo updates along the way and offer day to day customer service so if changes are needed we can discuss them as we go along.

INSTALL

When it comes to install, we try to keep it as painless as possible and work around our clients needs. We have a whole team of install crew with joiners and fabricators, painters and builders, riggers and electricians. We make sure before the install we have everything required on the day to achieve the goal. And if there is any unexpected problems or delays we are confident with our experience it can be solved quickly and as cost effectively as possible.
